Back from the Beach

Whew………………….what a week! We had our first family of five vacation this week. We went to the beach and rented a small but cute little house. But it all didn’t start out so smooth. FIRST, we had MORE car problems……..ugh………is it time for a new van??? Then we got there after a four and half hour drive, (it should only have taken three and a half at the most), the girls are cranky, tired, hungry……………so we get settled and we notice there is a bit of an ant problem, no a REALLY big ant problem. We got some dinner and said our prayers and sprayed ant killer everywhere, well when we woke up that morning it was even worse. So Kris went and got a bomb thingy and we had to be out of the house for three hours. So we packed up the kids and packed up lunch and headed to the beach. Luckily the bomb worked great and we didn’t see another bug thank the good Lord!!!! It was just a busy week, you would have laughed to see all the stuff we had to tote down to the beach. Two beach umbrellas, four chairs, four towels, a bouncy seat, TONS of sand toys, our cooler, beach bag, diaper bag and Kennedy’s sheet that the girls were NOT allowed to step on. Ha =). We looked like the people in the show Yes Dear in the intro as they are heading down to the beach. Good thing we had a golf cart. So we had a lot of fun just our family. The girls were like fishes we couldn’t get them out of the water and they are so brave!!! Even Kennedy liked the water!!! It was really hot but luckily there was a nice breeze. So I even had some time to get in a good quiet time while I was there. I’m really digging in the book of Job. I really see the direction God is leading me in and it’s so neat to see it.
