Lately I’ve been having a lot of “thoughts” about life and how sometimes life just hits us full swing and we are like, “Whoa”.
This is interesting, typing with one eye. Yes, one eye. “Whoa” would be right.
“Life” has thrown me a swing called, Orbital Cellulitis.
YUCK, EWE, OUCH and BLAH is how I personally would diagnosis this.
Sunday between the Urgent Care and the ER I spent a total of oh……..TEN HOURS, getting this diagnosis.
It’s been scary, it’s been painful and it’s just been BLAH dealing with this. I truly look like the one-eyed monster. =)
I’ve had way to much to do this week to be battling this crazy infection, but I guess sometimes you just gotta slow it down.
Kennedy keeps asking me if she did this to me!! =) Poor thing. And, NO, she didn’t.
They are not sure how I got this, most likely some type of bug bite or something.
So here I am, day 4 and still not a lot of improvement. I’ve been at the doctor every other day and will continue that way until this thing is cleared up. However, the doctor informed me a bit ago that this new antibiotic is “it”. Meaning, nothing else really to try via oral. I don’t know what that means. Don’t want to think about what that means either.
And this “it” came at another hefty price, $180!!! AHHHH.
As much as I would love to continue this crazy, “I’m a little loopy feeling” post, I can’t. It hurts desperately to focus on anything right now, besides the back of my lids!!!
Be back soon……when I can see. Forgive me for not getting around to visit all of you.
And my poor Taylor, it’s her birthday and I’m not a whole lotta good right now. But sweet girl, whenever you read this many years down the road, please know that I feel horrible that this day doesn’t rock for you but we did have a great time at your sleepover this weekend, and I will cherish those memories forever. Happy 8th birthday! I love you girly.

Hi Nicki,
I wanted to check in and see how your little Hope is recovering and now I find out you are in need of some recovery too! Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you and I hope that you feel better really soon!
Ah Nicki, so sorry you’re under the weather. Stopping now to pray for you. May the medication work and may the Lord strengthen, restore and heal you.
Happy birthday to your precious little “girly girl”.
Love ya,
Joy

So sorry to hear about your eye infection. I know how painful those can be. Hope you’re soon completely recovered.
Wow. That DOES sound rotten!
I hope you’re able to read these comments to receive a little cheer – or maybe someone will read them to you?
Here’s hoping the $180 option is the winner…
I was at the chiropractor’s office yesterday – severe pain – and on their wall it said, “We move the bones – God does the healing.” Amen to that. Praying He’ll heal you with this new antibiotic.
Dear Heavenly Father, I so hear Nicki’s heart right now, ‘to try and be mommy when I am in pain just doesn’t work’. God step in and show your sweet and precious daughter that you are all over this situation…and that you Rock! Provide healing, pain relief, food, people, perserverance and a whole lot of love and grace! Thank you Father God for cover her and her family!Amen
Happy Birthday Sweet Precious Taylor…may 8 be GREAT!!!
