WHOO HOOOOOO GOOOO GOD!!!

Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!!!

Do I have something AMAZING to share with you!!!

I may be jumping WAY ahead of myself to already be posting a blog post about this but this girl just can’t sit still right now!!! I’m so excited at what the Lord just did!! HOLY COW!!!

Can you guess???? Do you have any idea????

AHHH……….ok,

I know you are like “Mercy girl, come on just spill the beans!”

Guess what God just did? GUESS!! Ok…….I’ll tell you!!! =)

He just provided a sponsor for me to attend the She Speaks conference this year!!!! OH YES HE DID!!!!!!!

But, I need to back up…….whhhhhhoooooooooooppppppppp……because this story will mean so much more if you hear the whole thing!

Last week I was WAY bummed, and I mean way. I was planning on entering the She Speaks scholarship that Lysa Terkerust was doing again this year.

I had a really great post about this message that the Lord has been brewing in my heart since last year. Well…..guess who doesn’t remember dates very well? And who gets things mixed up ALL the time? And who is forever missing some type of VERY IMPORTANT something??

MMhhhmmmm, yes, moi.

So I logged onto my little computer that day with the hopes of submitting a home run entry, only to discover that I had indeed missed the deadline. UGH.

So I prayed really hard and sent Lysa an ‘Have mercy on me please accept this entry’ e-mail. Well…..I knew it was to late, but thought I would try anyway.

They said “Sorry girlfriend, get your dates right next time.” NO THEY DID NOT. =) They said so sweetly, “Oh Nicki, we know that the Lord will provide if you are supposed to come.” So I shut down my computer and shut down that dream for a few days.

Well, my post yesterday got me all fired up. You know? Like I was ready to start the righteous waiting thing. I was going to “do it right”.

First, your comments were amazing and the e-mails that I got…..whoa. God was just showing up left and right!

So, I got an e-mail from a friend who I have never actually met except here on this blog on facebook and through e-mail and she asked about any opportunities that she could pray for me about.

I told her my “oh silly me” story about the deadline and told that I knew that the Lord was going to open the door if I was supposed to go. Didn’t really think much more about it.

A few minutes later I got an e-mail from her that said, “DON’T FREAK OUT…..BUT…..I want to sponsor you for She Speaks!”

Don’t freak out??!!!!

I TOTALLY DID!!!

First I totally shook my husband out of his falling asleep on the couch ordeal! Then I gave God a HUGE HIGH FIVE!!!! THEN…….the tears…….oh the tears came!!!

Ya’ll…….oh my goodness, my heart is just so overwhelmed right now.

Because God DID IT.

He stepped down and intervened in way I would have never expected!!!!!!

And because I waited………..(tears). I didn’t throw a fit over the scholarship contest, make myself feel horrible or go into some major rut over it and just waited……He worked it out!!

I just waited. I trusted. If this was His thing……..then HE would do it.

I will never forget this Easter. And not because of something that the Lord did just for me…….but because I have been reminded that HE IS STILL ON HIS THRONE. HIS IS STILL IN CONTROL. AND HE IS STILL AND FOREVER MY GOD.

And just like on a cross……..sometimes He just shows up in the most unlikely ways!
