I’ve been getting a few nasty comments here on this blog.
While my first instinct is just to ignore them, delete them and just say “whatever”…there is a more [fleshly] side of me that wants to address every single one of them. But, I don’t have time for that.
I don’t MAKE any of you read this blog. If you don’t like it…don’t read it.
The End.
Moving on…
Day 26
“Still another seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop a hundred times more than it was sown.” -Luke 8:8
Question 1 -What does this verse say?
Good soil. Yielding crops. A hundred times more than it was sown.
Question 2 -What does this verse mean?
I think as followers of Christ sometimes our feet lead us to do things indifferently. We stay in the same place, doing the same things and we wonder why things don’t change in our lives.
Perhaps it has something to do with where we are putting all of our investments. And I don’t just mean money…time, energy and effort are always an investment.
Question 3 -What does this verse mean to me?
Last night at church, I had the amazing opportunity to witness this verse being lived out. Another pastor from a church in VA was visiting Elevation. But he wasn’t here to just “check it out”.
He and his wife were here to do something…incredibly radical, incredibly inspiring, incredibly bold. They are waiting for God to do something incredible at their church –a modern day miracle.
They are putting their feet into action and they are choosing to sow a seed [a big one!] into good soil, to produce a harvest.
I was so inspired and moved by what this church is doing. And I cannot wait to see the FULL harvest that God is going to bring them for their obedience.
It got me thinking about my own life.
What am I sowing? Into what fields [people, places, ministries]? Is the soil good [healthy, lined up with God’s word]?
I think these are valid questions to ask when we are investing time, energy, efforts and money.
