Good Monday morning blogsters!
I know…Monday’s can be quite a drag. But this Monday, we have IMPORTANT things to talk about on the blog.
Yup.
So, we’ve had some time to think about it right?
Well, now its time to get serious.
Registration is officially open and I am ready to start building my team! Remember, whichever of the cruise bloggers gets the biggest team wins a special prize.
And…ahem…I am HIGHLY motivated by the special prize. [smile]
And today, I have a special treat for you. My sweet friend Jennifer actually WENT on the Girls Getaway Cruise last year. I asked her if she would be willing to do a guest post for us and she said, “Sure!”.
So friends, welcome to the blog today my friend Jennifer and read all about her experience! [applause]
Enjoying the “Sonshine” on the Girls Getaway Cruise
Last October I went on the Premier Christian Cruises Girls Getaway Cruise and I have to tell you it was an awesome experience! My mom and one of my sisters went with me and not only did I come away having a special time with them but also a special time with God.
I got to leave my normal, crazy, stressful life behind and take some time to renew my faith. Many times on vacation, we live it just like our everyday lives – putting everything else ahead of God and our faith.
But by spending time with the inspiring speakers and musical guests that Premier Christian Cruises had on the itinerary, I was rejuvenated and had God on my mind and in my heart first every day.
I met so many wonderful Christian women from all over the United States. Women who had been Christians a long time, women who recently accepted Jesus and women who were going through some hardships in their lives but found peace and love on the Girls Getaway Cruise. I made many new friends on that ship.
There was so much fun and laughter! We snorkeled, we shopped, we sunbathed, we ate…and we ate some more! If you have ever been on a cruise, you know about the food. It was so good and no time for diets! We visited Key West, Florida and Cozumel, Mexico and had perfect weather the whole time.
I am a mom of two elementary age kids and it was hard to leave them for 5 days. It was hard to leave my husband in complete control of their care (yes…I am a bit of a control freak…) but armed with a schedule and a list, he did a fantastic job. I needed that time away and it made me a better Christian but also a better wife and mother.
The next Girls Getaway Cruise is January 2012 and I hope that you will consider going. We need that time away with God. We need to give him our focus. We need that time for ourselves. We need that time to soak up the “Sonshine” !
Thank you so much Jennifer for your guest post!
I don’t know about you, but just SEEING those pics makes me want to leave…like, yesterday.
Y’all this is going to be SUCH an amazing experience and I want everyone to come. And I mean, everyone.
I know, I know…money is tight for a lot of people. For me too.
But…next week I have a really neat post in the making of how we can creatively dig up some extra dollars. And, don’t forget, Premier Cruises has a really awesome payment plan.
I REALLY want you on my team. I mean that. And not just because I want to win the prize….[smile].

One more thing…I really need your help to get the word out about our team. Would you tweet [hash tag: #ggc2012], facebook or put a link in your blog about this post?
Happy Monday!!!
