What is my bloggy deal here lately? I just can’t seem to keep up with much these days, especially this blog. So once again, I apologize [to all three of you who read this blog] for my lack of enthusiasm with posts.
But a few days ago I came across some inspiration to get me going with an entire 30 days of posts!
My very awesome friend Lindsay Maddox [ Designer Wife] is hosting a bloggy link-up that I am very excited about. I’m a little late to the party, but I’m anxious to jump in.
So here we go, 30 days of Thanks! [Today and tomorrow is a catch-up version for me :)]
Day #1: A person
I am thankful for the man that I call husband and my girls call daddy.
I imagine that its not easy living in a house with four females. But my girls and I are thankful to have a hard-working man like Kris in our lives.
Day #2 An animal
This might surprise you, but the Koziarz house doesn’t have any animals! And I do believe we will keep it that way…for now. [wink]
But just for fun, I’ve always thought it would be cool to have a pot-belly pig.
I’m serious.
What? You don’t believe me?
Day #3 A cozy place
Our home is becoming my cozy place.
We moved here two years ago, and its taken some time to make it feel like its “ours” but, its getting there. I feel like I’m starting to understand my taste, style, and preferences.
Lately I’ve been so thankful for a few really neat [cheap] finds!
I feel in love with this chair at a yard sale. Originally it was going to go in my oldest daughters room, but I thought it fit perfect into our living room. I recovered the chair myself [ahem…don’t look at the back. ever. ok? :)] and my uber talented friend Leah made the pillows…I’m slightly obsessed with burlap right now. Love it.
Another yard sale find, that helps make my cozy place a little more cozy, were these two light pendants. I got them for a steal, $7 for the pair! I’m also thankful for the friend who was with me to spot them out.
I just painted the island, a barn-style red. What do you think? Its really starting to grow on me.
I’m very thankful for our cozy-work-in-progress home. It provides us with everything we need and is filled with love and memories.
