Fresh Vision.

The second pick.

That’s how I feel some days.

The fear of never being good enough often hinders me. The realization of being in others shadows paralyzes me. I spend hours in my mind wandering around the circle of insignificance. My heart tries to stay filled up with God’s Truth, but I find a leaky corner…a place where the  hole of  “unworthy” gets larger each day.

Today, I am a woman desperate for God to breathe fresh vision on my soul.

I don’t want the vision someone else has on their life.

I am weary of the shadows that I continually find myself in. Time is short, and I don’t have time to waste in these endless circles.

So, as I find myself in the place of needing a fresh vision for life today,  I’m comforted by these thoughts…

1. The secret place is the vision space. 

There is a place that I know Jesus wants to meet us everyday that isn’t about a tweet, facebook status, or blog post. My vision gets lost when it is  found anywhere else but in the presence of God.

We live in a society that is constantly connected. The more connected I get, the more I find myself feeling disconnected from God.

The secret place is somewhere I need to be present and focused.

Wherever that place is, distractions must leave.

2. The vision space is the planning place.

Proverbs 29:18 says; “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.”

While I’ve heard of people having dreams while sleeping of the vision God has for their life…this isn’t how God speaks to me most of the time.

Obedience is.

The place where I sit still, ask God, read His word, listen to the nudging on my soul…this is where I hear from God.

Our hearts want so badly to believe that God has great plans for us. If we continually fight or disregard the plans, then we will continually fail to walk towards the vision.

While it may be true to this world that Nicki Koziarz is a second pick player, I have to know and believe that God does not see me this way.

I know that in a crowd of 10,000, He sees this woman, desperate for His vision.

He sees us. He knows our hearts. He knows the gifts He’s given us. He believes in us like no one else.

And He chooses you…

God, I need a fresh vision from you today. I need you to breathe on my life like never before. The only thing I ask that you make greater in my life, is your presence. Give those of us desperate for a fresh vision an undeniable encounter with you today…
