If I’m going to be honest, I’d rather write about anything but this Interrupt journey today.
But in these last few minutes of today, I can’t leave my thoughts about all that I experienced today. I got back to the same place and passion I did on day 1. I don’t want things to stay the same…
I find myself wanting to rearrange furniture, paint the walls a new color and re-organize closets and… life.
My tolerance level for Interrupt feels like it is gone. I just want to know what this journey is really about.
I feel like I’m wandering… chasing one direction and then chasing another.
I think my bottom line is this tonight…
I need clarity.
Is the reason I’m having a hard time tolerating people and their high class problems because God is wanting to do something new…or is this something deeper inside me?
I’m feeling drawn to go back to the places I’ve experienced Him the way I’m craving Him now.
-Put me on a plane to Africa.
-Let me help the sick.
-I want to share the gospel with those who’ve never heard it.
-The desire to love “the least of these” overwhelms me.
I’m afraid these thirty days will pass and the passion to experience God in THIS life will fade even more than it is today.
So tonight I pray once again,
“God, please. Interrupt me. Show me what it means for you to interrupt THIS life. May you find me and the others on this journey faithful. Give us clarity. Show us the way. Time is short. The days are few. Do great things in and through us.”
Praying this ignites something in you and I tonight as we press on.
Any interruptions you’d like to share? I’d be so blessed to hear them.

Nicki, I feel your pain and frustration in your words. I have discovered, in my own life, that the “interrupt” is, indeed, the message. Our challenge is seeing Him within each “interrupt”. Accepting the “interrupt” should be part of our pursuit. If there is one thing that we can count on in life, other than death, it is CHANGE. It is within these changes that God moves us towards our goals, or should I say, HIS goals. I pray that God will give you the clarity you are seeking!
Kim
