Today I’m writing about God-dreams at crosswalk.com, I’d love for you to hop over and read this post before diving into today.
God dreams.
This is a huge part of this Interrupt journey…
There’s this old abandoned farm across the street from our neighborhood. I love this place. It makes me feel at home each time I pass by. The way the sun-set glimmers across the property is breathtaking.
But its also sad. No one has been on this farm in years. And its visible; overgrown weeds have almost taken up the entire property.
My husband and I have this crazy dream of buying this farm and restoring it back to life. It’s a pretty out-there dream considering I’ve only harvested 3 tomatoes in my entire life and we’d need a lot of pennies.
But I think what we love about this old place is, it holds potential.
Each time I drive by these abandoned acres on this Interrupt journey, I think about my dreams and wonder… will they ever come to be?
The Interrupt journey has taught me to hold close those dreams [no matter what anyone says] but to release them. Not abandon… release.
Release is where the potential is found because I’m giving God back what was His in the first place.
So tonight I am staying with my God-dreams on this Interrupt journey. Believing. Hopeful. And… interrupted.

Nicki,
Thank you so much for today’s blog. I am in the same boat, so to speak when it comes to God dreams. I just read your blog to my husband and he just smiled because this really hits home with us. We are holding on to our God dream. Have a blessed day!
Latosha, this blesses me so much to know you are holding onto your God dream! Don’t give up! Praying for you and your husband today.
Nicki, my “interrupt” yesterday kept me frantic over finishing the task at hand. At 52, I have moved from Mother of a 26 year old with Down Syndrome, and a 15 year old teen girl wanting to try out the world, to student. I am pursuing, yet another, God-dream. Thank you for the encouragement you give. Thank you for taking us along on your “interrupt journey”. I started my day with todays posting of Proverds31 Ministries. Reminding us, as mothers, of our importance to God, and the rest of the world, and our families, even though we feel “invisible” at times. Yes, everything we do matters. And God Sees All!!
