Tonight I was sitting at my daughter’s swim practice and every mom had the same look on her face: is this season over yet?
My face said the same thing. Because today… I’ve been existing, that’s all.
While waiting for the practice to end, an update came through my phone. It was one of those updates that makes your heart sink. A friend. A tumor. And… it’s not getting better.
It was an interruption they didn’t ask for in life. It’s an interruption I can’t seem to wrap my mind around. It’s an interruption that’s not fair. It’s an interruption that hundreds are praying to go away.
Yet, it exists.
Interruptions: Good. Bad. Ugly. Beautiful. Happy. Sad. Angry. Joy.
They exist.
My friend’s interruption is challenging my soul tonight. Please pray for them if you could.
What will we do with the interruptions of life of our own and those around us?
Will we simply say they exist or will we find life through them?

Nicki, I have been doing a study called, “Jonah, Navigating a Life Interrupted. There is an equation that she uses… Insignificant person + Insignificant task = Interruption. Significant person + Significant task = Divine Intervention. God graciously gives divine interventions to His children. He presents them an opportunity to partner with Him in purposes they could never conceive. A life interrupted by a holy God is a privilege.
Believing that divine interruptions are a privilege not only will cause us to handle them differently but also to await them eagerly. Knowing that we have an opportunity to participate in God’s purposes should cause us to sit on the edge of our seats in anticipation of divine interventions disguised as life’s interruptions.
This study is amazing..
