We stood in the bathroom with our arms both folded across our chests. Glares of anger flooded the space between us. I’ll just call it what it was, a fight. A big fight. One of the biggest we’ve ever had.
And then my husband said words that shook me the ground beneath me… “You just quit EVERYTHING.” He then went on to ramble a long list of things I had recently quit.
And he was right.
I’m a quitter.
I start things and never finish them. I give up when things get hard, when I get bored, stressed out or just tired.
I question who I am, the abilities God has given me and the strength that lays beneath me. And this is a struggle I want to overcome.
When I heard about The Nester’s 31 day writing prompt, I knew what I needed to do.
Complete something. Write. Complete something. Write.
I want to be a woman of … completion.
And I came across this verse that only confirmed things for me.
Here is my advice: It would be good for you to finish what you started a year ago. Last year you were the first who wanted to give, and you were the first to begin doing it. 11 Now you should finish what you started. Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now by your giving. Give in proportion to what you have. 12 Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.

So the next 31 days are simply about this for me … completion. Being a woman who starts something and finishes it well.
And I’m not totally sure what these posts will look like. I have a dozen blog posts that need to be finished, a devotion or two to write, many, and MANY projects around this little farm that need to be completed.
But just completing this challenge is a step in the right direction! I’m looking forward to sharing these next 31 days with you.
