One More Yes

A few months ago I felt this prompting deep in my heart to begin pressing pause on a lot of things in my life.

This was such a struggle for a busy-people-pleasing girl like myself.

But if there’s one thing I’ve come to understand about obedience its this; the more painful it is, the more life-changing it is.

So I’ve said “no” to this opportunity, and “no” to that opportunity. I’ve pressed pause on some of my dreams. And if I’m honest…there’s been a lot of days I’ve felt empty.

During this season, I’ve learned to trust the process and I’ve learned to trust these aches to be more but do less were going to be life-changing.

And then a few weeks ago, I felt this nudge from God to say finally say, “yes” to something.

My friend Melissa Taylor asked me to pray about co-leading with her for the next Proverbs 31 Ministries online Bible study.

I had missed teaching Bible study so much but with my new work schedule and all these “no’s” God was asking me to say, teaching again seemed impossible. And then, God gives you that one thing you need to hold onto.

My conversation with Melissa was that one thing.

So friends, I’m beyond thrilled. I can’t wait to get started. And I want you to be apart of this with me.

Because I have a feeling God is asking a lot more of us to say one more yes. To Him.
