  ABSOLUTELY needed this- not crazy into the Christmas hustle and bustle like it seems everyone around me is very into this time of year.. And like you, I need to slow my roll. this will be awesome!

• Nicki, yes!! I am with you! Slowing my roll! I refuse to let the busyness of this season dictate how I move about and at what speed…Im letting God dictate.. and taking time to breath in each moment, encounter, experience.
  I’m excited about the twelve days of prayer. The Lord has been talking prayer to me all year and as a result Ive made changes in my prayer life and discipline that have impacted my life in profound ways. Love your two minute Tuesdays so much. • Thank you Nicki- SO MUCH- That’s how I’ve been feeling to…I”m returning to work Jan 6th after being off for a year of maternity leave…so the fact that as Christmas approaches, and the stress of things that need to be done ontop of preparing to leave my kiddies to go back to work has me sort of in a funk and not really enjoin this season that I normally LOVE. I didn’t want to admit it because I thought I was the ONLY ONE (the only CHristian woman in all of the world that felt like that. I can’t wait to do the 12 days of Christmas!! <3 Thank you Nicki!!

• I thought I was the only one who didn’t like Christmas. I am so with you on this. I want to see Jesus in this season andnot lett the chaos get in the way.

• I am there with you. I always blamed it on my childhood and my choice of occupation. So good to know I am not the only one who struggles

• I just finished a two week vacation at home. I got caught up with my OBS, ACH ( but still need to journal). I picked up “the Women of Christmas”, by Liz Curtis Higgs…it’s a great book. While I was off I attended a “Dickens” festival and was given two books, The Faith of St. Nick”, An Advent Devotional and “I Believe” both published by Barbour. So I’ve immersed myself in the story of Christmas and it is a great feeling. No, the tree is not up, but some lights and decorations are out to give us the seasonal feel. I refused to be overburdened this year with baking, decorating and finding “perfect” gifts. I wrapped up the few gifts we are exchanging and even started a craft project. I spent so much time in my craft room I had no idea what time it was. This was a refreshing and great way to spend some needed time off. For those who can, take some time for YOU. You are no good to others if you are physically and mentally wiped out. Love and Prayers.
