Hi Nicki and Jen! What an inspiring conversation you all had! It’s perfect timing. as summer begins, that you are encouraging us with these nuggets of advice on opening our homes. When Jen talked about taking the risk of inviting people over even though your place may not be quite how you want it to be because you are giving others permission to do the same was sooo good. I was invited to a friends house very last minute and her house was not “prepared” and it endeared me to her and actually created an atmosphere that helped us be more open and casual about getting to know each other. This was like 18 years ago and I still think about her and the example she was for me. I also heard recently and I don’t remember where, that when we don’t welcome people because we don’t feel our home is enough, or we are enough, we are saying that God has not provided for us enough to share. That thought is “WOW!” Thank you both for brightening up my Friday morning. Enjoy your weekend! Jen

My husband and I were there at your home and yes, there was a ton of rain. Our family motto is “It’s Always A Story With The Henderson’s” so we weren’t really surprised by the rain. hahaha! What a wonderful evening! Great to see meet everyone.
